About the role

We are looking for a Quality Inspector who has a keen eye for detail and passionate about problem solving. Our Inspectors maintain our high standards by approving and assessing products during and after production.

The role will involve:

  • Carrying out visual and dimensional inspection of various machined and sourced components to specifications and drawings.
  • Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes.
  • Approving incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approving in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production.
  • Approving finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarising re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Operating Mitutoyo CMM machines

What we are looking for

Qualifications

  • Qualification or Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline.

Experience

  • Experience of working in an Inspector role is essential.
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Qualification or Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, dimensional and visual inspection.
  • Excellent technical ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow processes, procedures and requirements of ISO9001
  • Articulate communication skills
  • CMM experience (MCOSMOS)

Based at our Hinckley site and reporting to the Lead Quality Inspector, this role will suit someone who has a keen eye for details and has a passion for problem solving.
