Congratulations to Olly, Matt and all the team at Roger Clark Motorsport on setting the fastest hill climb time of the 2015 Festival of Speed.  Olly snatched victory in his 780bhp Subaru Impreza ‘’Gobstopper II’’ completing the 1.16 mile hill climb course in 44.91 seconds.

The ’‘Gobstopper II’’ Subaru uses an Arrow crankshaft and M2000 connecting rods.

M2000 has been developed as an ultra-high strength steel connecting rod material with numbers in excess of 2100MPa. It also benefits by maintaining plastic elongation and a high core hardness. This material is particularly suited to high stress applications where rod distortion can occur, for example in high boost engines. The high core strength also allows for reduced component mass.
